‘Extension for hotline as rogue dumpers caught red-handed’.
The Irish Independent reports on the extension of the lo-call-phone-line, 1850 365 121, confirming that the EPA will be extending the number for another year. The PURE project ‘which works to halt illegal dumping in the Wicklow and Dublin upland regions, said the hotline had received about 330 reports last year for that region alone’. The article goes on to say that illegal dumping usually takes place in isolated areas such as country lanes and in ‘…often the most scenic of the upland areas’.
