Saturday 14th June 2008
Wicklow Mountains National Park -11am to 4pm
On Saturday 14th June 2008 Wicklow Mountains National Park are hosting a free awareness session for the outdoor ethics of Leave No Trace.  All people interested in the outdoors and natural heritage are invited to attend this FREE event and learn about the Leave No Trace programme.  From mountain biking to rock-climbing, or hill walking to family picnics, we can all learn more about the impact we have on the outdoors and how to preserve it for ourselves, our children, and future generations.  On the day there will be drop-in stations with fun activities focusing on the seven principles of Leave No Trace.

This is a fun and casual day designed for anyone with an interest in conserving our outdoor places.  All ages welcome.

Family friendly. Booking is not required.  Drop in any time between 11am and 4pm and stay as long or as short as you wish.

Parking Note:

The upper lake car park is owned by Wicklow County Council, and costs €4 for the day and gets full fast at the weekend.  It is also possible to park in the lower lake car park at the Glendalough Visitor Centre.   Parking is free here and it’s just a short walk to the information office; simply follow signs to the upper lake.
