
WICKED, Wicklow Young Film Makers Festival, was established in 2006 and since then has gone from strength to strength. This year the project is taking a new direction in collaboration with the PURE (Protecting Uplands and Rural Environments) Project. Participants will learn to develop and create animations based on Environmental Themes, – illegal dumping, pollution, climate change, etc.
PURE WICKED 2011 is an animation based training project established for young people from all over Wicklow and was developed by Wicklow County Arts Office, PURE, and County Wicklow Film Commission.
Course participants will learn to write, produce, direct, shoot, and edit, their own short animations under the guidance of experienced and professional animators and tutors.
The training programme will run from the Courthouse Arts Centre, Tinahely, each course will last for one week.
The course will run from 10am-5pm each day.

Participants should be aged between 12-16 years

The completed short animation will be showcased in a special evening in the Courthouse Arts Centre in August 2011.
