‘PURE gets cash to continue battle with illegal dumpers – HUGE INCREASE IN FLY TIPPING OVER CHRISTMAS PERIOD’.  Wicklow People reports on Government funding of PURE for a further three years and the amount of illegal dumping that occurred in the Wicklow/Dublin uplands over the Christmas period.  ‘The PURE hotline was flooded with calls about illegal dumping taking place at regional bottle backs, particularly at Newtownmountkennedy, Dunlavin and Tinahely.’
