This data protection/privacy notice sets out how the Pure Project (‘Pure’), a project operated by Wicklow Uplands, Main Street, Roundwood, Co. Wicklow, Ireland, uses and protects any information that you give when you use this website, contact Pure, reporting of illegal dumping, registering with the Pure Mile, subscribing to the Pure newsletter, and any other contact with Pure.

What personal information will we collect from you?
We will only collect enough personal data from you to provide you with the service you have requested. Details may include: name, address, telephone number, mobile number, and email address.

If you receive an award in the Pure Mile Competition, we will contact you to request financial details to arrange payment. All details are stored securely and only used for the purpose for which they are required.

What we do with the information we gather
We require this information to assist you and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

Internal record keeping related to the Pure Mile, reporting of illegal dumping, processing of EPA reports, subscribing to the Pure newsletter, and any other contact with Pure.  To keep in contact with you regarding your Pure Mile area, Pure Mile events, arrange meetings, Pure truck collections, provide you with Pure Mile equipment, reporting of illegal dumping, subscribing to the Pure newsletter, and any other contact with Pure.

If you supply your information for other purposes, for example if you send us an enquiry, we will only use your information for the purpose of answering your query.

We will not distribute your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission.

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please contact Pure as soon as possible and we will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.

How long we keep your data
The Pure Project will only retain your personal data for as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which they were collected and subsequently processed. When the business needs to retain this information has expired, it will be examined with a view to destroying the personal data as soon as possible.

In relation to registering in the Pure Mile, name, address, and other contact information will be retained for the duration of your involvement and for 12 months thereafter.

Financial data will be kept for 6 years.

The Pure Project will not process your personal data for any purpose other than that for which they were collected.  he Pure Project will only retain your personal data for as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which they were collected and subsequently processed.
