The Pure Mile Awards is an environmental, community, heritage initiative, established by Pure

Certificates of Participation were presented to all Pure Mile Groups on the night by the Cathaoirleach of Wicklow County Council, Cllr. Aoife Flynn Kennedy, the Mayor of South Dublin, Cllr. Alan Edge, and the Cathaoirleach of Dun-Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, Cllr. Denis O’Callaghan.

In 2022 the environmental initiative Pure removed over 700 individual dumping sites, with the collection of over 140,000kg of illegally dumped waste from the remote, beautiful, and scenic, Wicklow/Dublin Uplands.
